THE 18th Meeting of ATWGARD
The Secretary of BSIP, Dr. Haris Syahbuddin, represented by the Head of Indonesian Agroclimate and Hydrology Instrument Standard Testing Institute, Rima Purnamayani, served as the head of the Indonesian delegation at the meeting. Indonesia presented its programs and achievements in the agricultural sector, including Indonesia’s rice self-sufficiency from 2019-2021, the development of the SISCrop 2.0 and Integrated KATAM information systems, balanced fertilization for improving soil and agricultural product quality, and breakthroughs in decarbonization in Indonesia’s agricultural sector. The Indonesian Agency for Agricultural Standardization (IAAIS) plays an active role in international forums. On April 24-25, 2024, IAAIS, as the focal point for Indonesia, along with ASEAN countries, participated in The 18th Meeting of The ASEAN Technical Working Group on Agricultural Research and Development (ATWGARD) virtually.
